We are pleased to share with you the announcement of the “2024 SSF Regional Symposium” Series, which will be jointly organized by TBTI Global and the local partners. The Symposium is an all-encompassing space to share stories, experiences, and lessons about small-scale fisheries, as well as to discuss and explore options and opportunities for supporting sustainable small-scale fisheries. The theme for the 2024 SSF Regional Symposium is ‘Bright Spots ~ Hope Spots.’ What’s presented and discussed during the regional symposium will be brought forward for further discussion at the 5WSFC in 2026.
SSF Regional Symposium for Asia-Pacific
The first symposium in the 2024 SSF Regional Symposium series will be held in Shizuoka City, Japan, on April 9-12, 2024. The symposium will be hosted by TBTI Japan, in partnership with Tokai University and other partners, and with the support from TBTI Global. The symposium will be organized as ‘on-site’ only. Announcement about the symposium for the other regions will follow in the near future.
The call for abstracts for SSF Regional Symposium for Asia-Pacific is now open. The submission deadline has been extended to December 8, 2023.
