TBTI Japan has launched a transdisciplinary committee for a small-scale fisheries white paper project, which will be officially released during the Small-Scale Fisheries Regional Symposium for Asia Pacific in April of 2024. The first committee meeting was also featured in the Fisheries Daily on Nov 28, 2023.

This white paper project on small-scale fisheries aims to fully grasp and elucidate Japanese small-scale fisheries’ current challenges and importance in every aspect, which will significantly contribute to building a comprehensive and robust research platform for small-scale fisheries and realizing small-scale fisheries sustainability.
