This June, TBTI is partnering with ICSF, FAO and other international and inter-governmental organizations from around the world to celebrate the World Oceans Day by emphasizing the importance of small-scale fisheries for sustainable ocean. All events are virtual (online), and are opened to everyone.
- June 1-5: We will host a number of webinars that will focus on various topics concerning small-scale fisheries, in the context of Sustainable Development Goals and the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture 2022.
- June 8: On World Oceans Day, we will organize a series of interactive panel discussions to bring attention to the importance of small-scale fisheries, celebrate their contributions, and facilitate a dialogue about some of the most pressing issues, including the impacts of Covid-19 on small-scale fisheries.

Share your talents at SSF Virtual Art Festival (June 8)
On June 8, the World Oceans Day, we will host an online Small-Scale Fisheries Art Festival and we are looking for individuals or groups interested in contributing to what should be an enlightening and enjoyable art event!
We are calling for art presentations from around the world that use a variety of artistic expressions, e.g. photos, songs, dance (video recording), poetry (audio/video recording), short documentaries (max. 15 min), etc. to portray diverse representations and reflections of small-scale fisheries today and in the past.
